2.My family during the TEPCO "Fukushima-Daiichi" nuclear power plant accident
On March 11, when the great earthquake occurred, I was living in my home in the city of Souma-shi, 43 kilometers away from the Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
There my wife "Eriko" is 49 years old, my daughter "Shihori" is 15 years old, and my
mother "Kimii" is 73 years old (she had to live in home care), we lived with five family
members.
Just before the earthquake, my father "Kiyoshi" 73 years old, was admitted
to a public hospital in Souma-shi due to suspicion of cancer.
March 11th was my daughter's high school graduation ceremony. She was a member
of the brass band club and participated in the National Wind Band Competition for three years.
She had been accepted into a prefectural school with the goal of becoming a teacher and brass band leader, and she was looking forward to enrolling.
My wife and I attended our daughter's graduation ceremony, and after returning home, we planned to see her grow up and attend her high school entrance ceremony.
When I reached the turning point of 50 years old in my life, my wife and I talked about how we were trying to work even harder for the future of our business.
At that time the big earthquake happened and the nuclear power plant accident happened.
